The children were involved in lots of activities last week.
• The children participated in a beauty Salon morning, this helps them to become more independent in self-care and begin to start a hygiene routine. It’s a great role playing activity and also lots of fun too!
• The children enjoyed an afternoon snack by candle light whilst it was raining outside; even when it’s too wet to play out we make sure to find fun activities to do indoors.
• The children were all involved in pumpkin painting as it is nearly Halloween; we will be doing lots more fun filled Halloween activities next week too, watch this space!
• The children took part in our weekly yoga class. This helps develop body awareness, helps them learn how to use their bodies in a healthy way, builds concentration, increases their confidence and positive self-image and helps them feel part of a healthy, non-competitive group.
• The children played in the outdoor mud kitchen, this is great activity as they can play when the suns out or its raining; This helps learn about the environment and living things found in the soil.
Here at Little Kings and Queens Nursery in Bootle we are very fortunate to have Travelling Ted and Harry the Bear!
Travelling Ted gets to go home with one of our children and spend the weekend joining in with their family fun. This is a great way for the children to show us what they are doing at home and they get to learn about the environment in a fun way; below are some of Ted’s adventures so far!
Harry the bear likes to travel internationally so whenever one of our children is going on holiday Harry goes too! The children really enjoy this and are so excited to show us all their adventures when they come home!
We have one of the fastest growing nurseries in Bootle/Litherland. For any prospective parents who would like to come and visit our nursery, we are holding a Charity Family fun day on Saturday 4th November with lots of fun activities for the children to enjoy, it is a great way to see what we are about.
