Our Charity Fun day in support of Community Heartbeat Trust
We were overwhelmed with the turn out for this charity event at Little Kings & Queens Nursery. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that came and to all the staff for making it a huge success.
We managed to raise £662.00, which is being donated to The Community Heartbeat Trust – the UK’s community defibrillator charity.
There was so many fun activities going on throughout the day the children were kept busy having so much fun.
Below are some of the children being made into whichever characters their little hearts desired…. even Frankenstein for one little boy! The face painter we had on the day was brilliant as you can see from the pictures the children are beaming.
We also had the real Spider Man here at Little Kings & Queens Nursery, if you came on the day you will understand. He certainly stole the show; the children could not get enough of him. He did some back flips and hand stands and even helped the children to get involved in the fun; the finally was when he scaled the Little Kings & Queens Nursery in Bootle and did hand stands and poses on our roof, as you can imagine both the children and the adults were in total amazement. We hope he can come back and visit us again soon.
The Reptiles, insects and Owls were also a big hit with the children and the adults, we were so proud of our little ones being so brave and holding the tarantulas, snakes, lizards and owls; as you can see from the pictures they had a great time. This was a chance for the children to come into contact with reptiles and insects that they have never seen before, such a great experience.
Jelly Face
Jelly face is exactly what it looks and sounds like, it is a tray full of jelly with lots of hidden treats inside, the only rule is you must retrieve the treats using your mouth only, no hands allowed!! The children loved this as it was good old fashioned messy fun!
Yoga
Yoga is a weekly occurrence at Little Kings & Queens Nursery, we have just started doing it with our babies too, they all love it. Yoga Is not only fun but it has so many benefits for your little ones. It enhances physical flexibility; it promotes physical strength because the children learn to use all the muscles in new ways. It develops their focus and concentration; the act of practicing poses encourages children to clear their mind and focus on the effort, which I’m sure you will agree is a great skill for them to have. We wanted to let all the children who came to our event see how fun it can be.
Over several weeks before this event we collected prizes to give away on the day for the Raffle, all of the parents were so generous with the prizes they donated and we even had local business donating prizes too. Some of the prizes we gave away were: Beauty vouchers, hair vouchers, yoga vouchers, Clothes, bottles of wine and champagne, so many toys, beauty gift sets, a Boxing Glove signed by Amir Khan and the last one of the day was a VIP Table in INK Bar for 10 friends with spirits included. Below are just some on the prizes donated.
We even managed to get our Nursery a mention in the Local newspaper in Bootle. ‘The champion’ 8th November 2017
As this event was such a huge success we plan to do at least one a year and raise money for local charities that our close to our hearts. we hope everyone that came enjoyed themselves and we hope to see you all again soon. Love from everyone here at Little Kings & Queens Nursery xx
