The Christmas Festivities continue here at Little Kings and Queens Nursery this week…..

  • Christmas Candles

The children decorated festive Christmas candles which they got to take home and show off their talents! this a great way for them to get creative and experiment with a range of different media to achieve a planned effect.

  • Christmas Carol Concerts

Across the week the children took part in two Christmas Carol Concerts, to make sure that everyone got a chance to take part. They certainly did us proud and they all looked so good in their festive costumes! Its lovely to see them all smiling and singing together, and a great chance for their parents to them too.

  • Festive Baking Time

There was a lovely aroma of mince pies cooking in the oven today! By letting children be involved in baking can build basic skills, You can help your child hone basic math skills by doing something as simple as counting eggs or pouring water into a measuring cup; when you let the little ones take part in the cooking process their more likely to try the food which encourage an adventurous palate.

  • Icy Sensory Play for the Babies

We decided to take advantage of the freezing weather and have some icy sensory play for the little ones….. we also added some paints for some lovely colours! this helps develop their fine motor skills as well as being fun to play with.

  • More Elf Shenanigans

The elves where at it again here at Little kings & Queens Nursery, we never know where we are going to find them when we come in of a morning. Our chef wasn’t too happy that they had been riffling through her kitchen helping themselves to snacks!

  • Let them Eat Cake!

We celebrated so many birthdays this week at the nursery, the children are growing up so quickly.  We have had an endless supply of birthday cake, Some of the staff our worried they may not fit into their Christmas day clothes now!!

  • Jumper Day at the Nursery

We love Christmas Jumper day here at Little Kings & Queens nursery, everyone is always so happy and looks so festive in their lovely jumpers.

  • Father Xmas at the Nursery

We were delighted when Father Christmas came to visit our nursery to see if the children had all been good. He was given a warm welcome from all the children and even came with a sack of presents for them all. He only managed to scare one of the children so we seen this a success!! LOL!

  • Weekly Yoga Class

Another great week of our yoga class, made more festive with the children all in their Christmas jumpers. This weekly class aids their health and self care, it teaches them the importance for good health of physical exercise.

As you can see its been another fun filled week here at the nursery, we are hoping father Christmas comes back next week to see the rest of the children!
