There was lots going on at Little Kings & Queens this week, have a look at what the children got up to.

Outdoor fun

Some outdoor fun with the Ruby & Emerald Rooms. Outdoor play is great for encouraging children’s creativity. Away from the constraints and confinement of indoor play, being outside children’s imaginations are often stimulated by the objects around them and they quickly tap into their creativity.

Maths

The Ruby room spent some time in the maths corner learning their numbers! Basic math and number concepts utilised in a preschool  classroom set the foundation for learning more advanced math concepts. Early exposure to math and number activities will promote your child’s comfort with these skills. Also, additional opportunities to practice these skills will increase your child’s confidence when working with math and number concepts.

Lots of Activities

Lots of different activities going on in the Ruby & Emerald Rooms. Like most things in life, balance is the key. In general, there are two types of activities for children: structured and unstructured. Each has unique benefits and the evidence says a balance of both is important for optimal child development.

Messy Play

Some sensory paint play in the Diamond Room, the benefits of finger painting are numerous. Finger painting is easier for little fingers that are not yet ready to manipulate a brush; It’s also a great Sensory experience of exploring paint, textures and prints.

Playtime for the little ones

Playtime helps develop a baby’s social, intellectual, language, and problem-solving skills. Toys and games aid your child in learning to master motor skills and figuring out how the world works.
